KLARNA EXPOSED TO AN IT-CRASH
On 27 May 2021, the bank Klarna is exposed to an IT crash, which was self-inflicted. The crash led to users logging in to the app logging into another user’s account. This means that several private data regarding customers have been exposed. The crash was due to a bug that slipped through despite good review when updating the app. They had to shut down the entire app temporarily.
The CEO of the bank described the accident as “embarrassing and that it is extremely sad”.
